This is the truth. You can design the best logo and think it is the coolest thing ever, but if you can’t put your logo on any product without changing your logo or the product being crazy expensive, then your awesome logo is useless.

To start, there are people that create logos and people that brand things. If you are in the process of re-branding I would recommend talking to experts in both fields to make sure you get the perfect logo that you can use consistently across all your branding.

The reason for this is because the purpose of a logo is to make your product or service recognizable and identifiable to your clients. Your logo is supposed to convey trust and subconsciously make your clients want to buy your product or service because they know what your logo and company stands for. Additionally, if your logo changes and is different on all your products or marketing efforts, then your logo is less likely to stick in the minds of your clients.

The reality is that most people don’t consult with a branding expert and when it comes time to put their logo on products, they find out that their logos colors, fonts, thickness, or layout needs to change in order for them to create a product that fits within their budget.
